I left for Israel on June 28th. My trip was DTW-CDG with one night in pairs, then CDG-TLV. I arrived in Tel Aviv two days later, on the 30th.
One of my favorite parts of the trip was visiting the Dome of the Rock and the western wall in the old city.
I did travel around Israel quite a bit and stayed in Tel Aviv along with Rishon-Lezion, but for the majority of the trip I was in Malcha, Jerusalem. Here's the view of the street ourside my grandpa's house in Jerusalem.
One of my favorite parks in Malcha.
Beautiful sunset in Jerusalem.
Loved spending the day hiking in Judean desert, 106 degrees!
You can see the Dead Sea and across it Jordan.
I spent a couple days in Rishon-Lezion with some of my favorite Israelis😜. Maayan and No'am were trying to ride Omri's unicycle.
Another fun thing was visiting the ancient ruins of Herodium. The resting place of Herod the great who was buried there over 2,000 years ago.
I spent the final day in beautiful Tel Aviv walking along the beach and pier. Then we ate lunch at our favorite fish restaurant and headed for the airport around 2.
Overall, this trip has been incrediable. Seeing the light show in Jerusalem, going to the Dead Sea & desert, spending time with family and friends, it was a great time. From the beaches in Tel Aviv to the camles in Eilat Israel truly is an amazing place and I always love coming here. I'll be going back to Tel Aviv for the day on Tuesday, before I leave. I'll have more pictures following my flight home where I stop in London for the day! I had a fantastic time in Israel and I can't wait to be back next month!
